Dr. Saltaji is a certified specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, as well as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and Master of Science—graduating at the top of his class—he completed a three-year specialty certification in orthodontics at the University of Alberta School of Dentistry in 2015, along with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada examinations. In addition to his practice, Dr. Saltaji is a clinical assistant professor in the Orthodontic Graduate Program at the University of Alberta and a staff orthodontist on the multidisciplinary cleft lip and palate team at the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton.
During his specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Alberta, Dr. Saltaji also pursued a doctoral degree in orthodontics. Over the past decade, while completing his six-year combined PhD–Residency in Orthodontics, he has authored more than 50 clinical articles, served as an external reviewer for 15 orthodontic and scientific journals, and received over 10 academic and research awards. His research—both independent and collaborative—has been showcased at various national and international conferences.
As a board-certified orthodontist in both Canada and the United States, Dr. Saltaji takes pride in contributing to his community’s well-being and remains an active member of both the Canadian and American Association of Orthodontists.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Saltaji enjoys a healthy and active lifestyle with his wife, Sarah, and their three wonderful children. He also dedicates time to community volunteering, supporting local sports teams, traveling, cycling, and writing.
